Our Travel and Transport Services teams work closely with our suppliers to ensure our customers have the best Educational Travel Experience possible. As a Travel Administrator within the team, you will have the opportunity to develop the essential knowledge skill and experience to unlock a range of exciting future career opportunities that exist across our Market Leading Educational Travel Brands.

**A Typical day as a Travel Administrator **;
To help you build a rounded set of Travel Industry skills, whilst you help us deliver great travel services to our customers, your day will typically involve;
- Liaising with Scheduled and Low Cost Airlines to secure rates and seat allocations for groups travelling with our PGL Group Brands (NST, European Study Tours, StudyLink, and PGL Ski / Overseas)
- Securing and confirming quotes for Rail and Coach Suppliers
- Updating passenger information for pre travel confirmations
- Requesting and confirming group hotel reservations.
- Booking theatres, restaurants and other visits and excursions directly with suppliers.
- Creating customer documentation to ensure their have all the essential info to make their tour a success
- Updating information in our travel reservations systems so our customer facing teams always have the right information at their fingertips.
- Seeking out and negotiating with new suppliers for ad hoc / non-standard requests.
- Helping out in other parts of the business/other teams where required.

**Future progression opportunities**

After we have spent approximately 6-12 months helping you develop the foundations of your Travel Administration skill set, you can progress into one of our Consultant level roles where you can further develop your skills and knowledge in Transport, Accommodation or Tour Support.

If your passion lies in Sales or Customer service, no problem Our Travel Administrator opportunities can also help build the underpinning knowledge for roles in our fabulous Customer Contact teams.

- **The desire to make a difference - **We aim to enrich the lives of young people through our travel experiences. The dedication of our Travel Services team to this Aim means we will always go one step further when needed to make sure our Customer Brands are always known for making great things happen

**You should also have the following skills/experience**
- Minimum 6 months office administration experience **and/or** a L1 Business Administration qualification
- Strong Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing.
- Strong self-organisational skills, able to effectively manage a variety of different tasks and procedures.
- Strong IT literacy and administration skills with experience of using MS Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams)
- Appetite and ability to learn quickly, and adapt to change
- Resilience and the ability to work at pace and handle peaks and troughs in both volume and pace of work
- Grade C (minimum Grade 4) or above in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification / experience

**You will be automatically offered an interview, if you also have**
- 12 months previous experience working in a Travel Agency or similar role for a Tour Operator
- Knowledge of a foreign language (French, German, Italian and Spanish)
