**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a dependable and diligent **Kitchen Porter** to join our hotel’s kitchen team. As a vital part of the back-of-house operation, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, supporting chefs, and ensuring a safe and organized environment for food preparation and service.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the kitchen and service areas are clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Wash and sanitize all crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment or by hand
- Clean kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors, walls, and storage areas regularly
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation when needed (e.g., peeling, chopping vegetables)
- Manage waste disposal and recycling according to hotel policies
- Unload and store food deliveries, checking for quantity and quality
- Restock cleaning supplies and alert supervisors of any shortages or maintenance needs
- Support the kitchen team in ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
- Work closely with the wider food and beverage team to ensure smooth service delivery

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role or busy kitchen is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment
- Good time-management and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety standards (training can be provided)
- Strong team spirit and a positive, proactive attitude

Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
