Housing Disrepair Fee Earner

Our client, a well regarded private legal practice based in the heart of Manchester, are actively seeking to recruit an experienced Housing Disrepair fee earner into their busy team.
**THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE - 3 days per week office based / 2 days per week working remotely**
**DUTIES INCLUDE**:
1. Reviewing files and reporting regularly to clients, referrers, team leaders or others
2. Liaising with experts
3. Assessing the merits of cases and gathering evidence, both documentary and witness, to rebut denials and pursue meritorious cases to settlement by negotiation or through litigation
4. Liaising and negotiating with insurers, solicitors, courts, Counsel and other agencies
5. Completing Schedules of Special Damages.
6. Issuing proceedings and proceeding through litigation to settlement or Trial
7. Preparing cases for Trial including preparing Briefs to Counsel
8. Reporting to team leader any difficulties or delays on files
9. Attending team meetings
10. Dealing promptly with telephone enquiries from clients, referrers and others
11. Assisting other team members as necessary
12. To carry out such other duties as might reasonably be requested by the Directors
It is imperative that you are experienced in handling Housing Disrepair claims at all stages in order to be considered for this role, as you will be required to hit the ground running with an existing caseload under mínimal supervision.
**Salary**: £28,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
