**About the role**
Aspire is seeking an Infrastructure Team Leader who possesses a strong technical background and extensive experience in leadership. As the Infrastructure Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of infrastructure engineers in providing technical support in our clients server and cloud technologies. This role requires a strong technical background in server infrastructure, excellent leadership skills, and a customer-centric approach to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
**What you will be doing**:
**Team Leadership**
- Motivate a team of IT support server engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to enhance individual and team performance.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-training opportunities.
- Set clear performance objectives, monitor progress, and conduct regular performance evaluations for team members.
**Infrastructure Support**
- Ensure timely and efficient resolution of server-related issues, working closely with the team to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
- Plan and execute server installations, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor server performance, capacity, and security, implementing proactive measures to identify and mitigate potential risks or bottlenecks.
**Customer Service**
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated server-related issues, liaising with clients to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as Help Desk and Network Engineering, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of integrated IT solutions.
**Documentation and Reporting**
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Generate regular reports on server performance, system health, and team productivity, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
**You will suit the role if you have**:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within an IT support engineering team.
- In-depth knowledge of server infrastructure technologies, including server hardware, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), virtualization, and storage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex server-related issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and incident management systems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
It is a great opportunity to build on your technical skillset. Ideally, you’ll have a previous working knowledge of the following: Windows operating systems, Active Directory, SCCM, Exchange and Office 365.
An understanding of Service Desk operations, a qualification within the ITIL framework and experience would be useful.

Starting salary £30,000 to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
