Crystal Care Solutions are a specialist, independent social care organization who operate a number of residential and supported living units across the region. Established in 2006 we pride ourselves in providing in making an outstanding contribution to the children and young people we care for which is highlighted with **50% of our Residential Homes being rated Outstanding with Ofsted.**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Crystal Care Solutions team for a Waking Night Residential Children’s Worker within one of our registered Children’s Homes. Our aim and yours will be to transform the lives of looked-after children. As a Residential Children’s Worker, every day will be different and you won’t find a more rewarding career.

We want to hear from caring, enthusiastic and dedicated team players with a can-do approach who really care about the needs of children. You’ll enjoy working with children and young people, providing day to day support, guidance and activities. You’ll create a safe, caring and supportive place to live for children and young people.

The role involves working nights working an average of 38.5 hours per week on a 2 week rolling pattern (5 nights one week and 2 nights the following week). Each shift is 11 hours long.

Essential Job Requirements
- Provide a safe environment for the young people in our care
- Good communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
- Be a good team player to provide a high level of care and achieve positive outcomes
- Encourage the young people to be motivated and take part in activities, education and extracurricular activities
- Have attention to detail ensuring correct information is recorded in all paperwork
- Demonstrate a commitment to own training and development
- Be able to adapt working practice to the ethos of the home
- Have resilience, motivation and determination
- Can adapt to challenging and changing situations
- Be inclusive to all children and young people
- Be confident in using Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word, or willing to learn
- Be flexible and able to undertake shift work including weekends and sleep-ins.
- Full UK driving licence

Desirable Attributes
- Diploma Level 3 qualified in Residential Childcare or equivalent or willingness to work towards the above Level 3 qualification funded by the organisation
- Knowledge of current legislation relevant to Children’s Homes
- Experience of Ofsted inspections
- Understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people
