**Job Summary**

Self-employed joiner required for AJGL Contractors Ltd. We are an established building contractors based in St Helens boasting over 20 years of experience in the building industry. We handle all types of building work.

**Responsibilities**
- Fabricate and assemble wooden structures according to specifications and design plans.
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete joinery tasks.
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square, adhering to quality standards.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to move materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on site, including carpenters and painters, to ensure seamless project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in joinery or carpentry is essential.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans accurately.
- Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and safety protocols.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- A valid driver’s licence is preferred but not mandatory.
