Working on the clerking floor of this successful set of chambers this role provides an essential grounding in how the chambers operate and understand the work of each Barrister. The role will involve managing the considerable paperwork generated by the Barristersto ensure that files are accurately compiled and that court bundles are prepared and distributed to the courts, barristers and lawyers.

This entry level position in the firm is an essential role in the chambers and you will working on a team of clerks to provide support to Barristers in your practice group. You will learn from the experienced team the nuances of supporting these senior legalprofessionals; how to work with the courts and schedule the diary of cases. You will take briefs from law firms, assign counsel and schedule court hearings.

You should have excellent common sense and be on the ball, switched-on and be able to learn quickly. You need to be happy to work in a highly professional environment, with some of the leading minds in the their field. The role contains a high degree ofadministration, coordination and planning and requires the ability to build strong relationships with your clients and the Barristers you clerk.

This is a highly professional environment with a heavy workload requiring attention to detail and an excellent memory. Although this is a demanding role it is also an exciting place to work and the organisation look for individuals with a strong work ethic,desire to progress and professional manner. This could be demonstrated through hospitality or retail roles as well as office jobs.
