Working as part of a wider multi-professional programme team across all providers, to ensure contractual and quality responsibilities are met, support the collaborative to be self-assuring and self-regulating.

The role is integral in ensuring that PCFT meets is Quality Assurance responsibilities and accountabilities as Lead and will directly oversee and monitor the quality and safety of the specialised mental health, learning disability & autism services commissioned through Greater Manchester Child & Adolescent Mental Health LPC including quality assuring all services that are provided within the Greater Manchester footprint.

Significant Mental health knowledge is essential, and experience of CAMHS inpatient hospital care would be advantageous. Working closely with the Head of Commissioning, Clinical Lead and the Case Management colleagues, the successful post holder will need the ability to collate and interrogate local and national data, support, influence and challenge quality and performance concerns effectively whilst maintaining professional relationships in order to improve service user and carer experience and positive outcomes for the GM population.

The Head of Quality and Compliance role is an integral part of the Quality and Commissioning function and will be required to work closely with Commissioners, Case Managers and the PC Clinical Lead to ensure commissioned services are safe, effective and best value. This will involve leading on quality and environmental assessments & reviews, visiting providers to monitor service provision is of high quality, liaising with service users, carers and advocates, and collating relevant dashboards in order to provide assurance to the Trust Board and NHS E/I. The post holder will chair PC quality meetings and feedback to NHS E/I at regional and national forums.

The Head of Quality will work with provider partners to develop the collaborative approach to quality assurance across all applicable services, supporting providers to address quality concerns where appropriate, building on and sharing best practice and enabling the collaborative to provide assurance to NHS England (NHS E/I). The role is integral in ensuring that GMMH meets is Quality Assurance responsibilities and accountabilities as Lead and will directly oversee and monitor the quality and safety of CAMHS Specialised Services within the Greater Manchester footprint. The post-holder will work closely with experts by experience, quality and governance teams within providers and members of the delineated commissioning hub to develop the quality assurance approach as well as maintaining strong links with the NHS E/I regional quality team.

Working closely with specialised NHS and independent sector providers, NHS England/Improvement and the Greater Manchester Integrated Care System (GM ICS) you will monitor and address quality concerns, ensure providers fulfil their contractual responsibilities, monitor and respond to the management of serious incidents and implement the governance required to maintain oversight of themes and trends across the footprint, developing remedial action plans as required.
