**The Position**:
We are currently recruiting for experienced Senior Project Engineers, with proven experience across several diverse industries, to join the RSGx team on a number of large infrastructure projects across **Australia.**

**The Person**:
In this role your responsibilities will include:

- Lead and assist in the review and planning the project with the Construction Manager and Area Managers and to ensure technical aspects of job are clear and to become familiar with contractual arrangements made with client
- Liaise with Construction Managers/Area Managers to ensure job is on schedule.
- Assists in the overview of the project (within disciplines) from an engineering view point while maintaining an open approach to all problems.
- Lead the proration of all Inspection and Test Plans and associated Project Specific Procedures with the Project and Quality Managers.
- Interface with clients and cross functional teams on all aspects of project delivery
- Analyse and supervise the fulfillment of the work package plan with regard to functional, technical and time-related goals, also checks the quality of process and results
- Monitor project progress against the program and budget, and report on engineering/installation activities.
- Ensure technical aspects of job are clear and familiar with contractual arrangements with client and subcontractors.
- Manage subcontractors/suppliers and ensure all documentation is compliant with project requirements.
- Review adequacy and content of installation inspection and test documentation for issue to use.
- Resolve issues on-site as they arise.
- Provide mentoring to Project Engineers (direct reports).
- Create a team culture that fosters high performance and personal improvement mindset.
- Preferred:_
- Tertiary (Bachelor) degree in Engineering, Construction or equivalent in related discipline with minimum 5 - 10 years’ experience in project related disciplines in the construction environment, Project Management and Design Management practices
- Strong communication skill (oral & written) including negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
- Experience in reviewing design documentation, providing constructive critic ('constructability’ input) and implementing final designs.
- Experience in procurement to ensure activities meet construction schedule, cost and quality requirements
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the Microsoft® Office suite of software packages and other packages required specific to engineering design such as MS Visio, Acrobat, Bluebeam and Navisworks
- Must be customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven
- Must be energetic with a positive can-do attitude
- Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and put to use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
