Part-time Transport Administrator

An opportunity has arisen for an experience Transport Administrator, to join a small yet busy transportation team, to be a key component in the day to day running of this department for our client based in Corby, Northamptonshire.
- Title: Transport Administrator
- Salary: £9.79ph
- Hours: Monday to Friday 9am till 2.30pm
- Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
- Duration: Temporary (initially for a minimum of 2 months)
- Start date: Immediate

The successful Transport Administrators duties will include, but will not be limited to:

- Collating driver's hours and producing overtime spread sheets every month.
- Collate and File drivers run sheets.
- Monitoring the working time directive for all 4 HGV drivers on a weekly basis ensuring the drivers do not exceed 1248 hours in the 26-week period.
- Use Smart Analysis system to monitor the working time directive and drivers' infringements. All infringements are logged, and each driver has a debrief on the specific infringement.
- Producing a KPI report every month showing all truck movements made on our HGV's and all outside transport moves.
- Authorising and raising all sundry purchase orders for all HGV maintenance carried out by our approved suppliers.
- Covering transport planning for all 4 HGV's when the transport coordinator is on holiday or out of the office.
- Assessing all oversized trucks for transport, contacting the appropriate haulage company and organising specialist trailers.
- Maintain proper and accurate pre-shipment and post-shipment administration of all equipment moved in the UK and Europe.
- Collating all vehicle defects after service and inspection and monitor all ongoing mechanical issues. Ensuring that the HGV drivers are aware of the defects and liaising with suppliers to have the defects fixed in a timely manner.
- Keeping accurate records of all CPC training, MOT certificates, O Licences and tacho calibrations.

The successful Transport Administrator will need to demonstrate previous successful experience within a similar Transport Administration or Coordination role. Have a sound knowledge of driving regulations, and administration standards. Strong interpersonaland communication skills are essential, with the ability to multi-task, and prioritise workloads.
