**Purpose of the role**:

- To principally provide support to the Projects Leadership and our Projects PDL in Glasgow on knowledge and practice developments in Projects from a construction, infrastructure projects & finance perspective.
- To work with the Projects PDL and the Projects Training Forum in the coordination, management and roll out of various training sessions and programmes for the Projects team including trainee inductions, master classes and ad hoc training required throughout the year.

To work closely with Energy and Infrastructure Sector PDLs, relevant support teams and client relationship teams across the firm-wide network who provide support to Projects.

**Knowledge Management**:

- Liaising with fee earners to collect Projects related knowhow.
- Maintaining the Projects internal knowledge management system including day to day maintenance of the Projects teamsite, hubs and legal knowhow databases, including hyperlink checking, tagging, archiving and uploading new materials where necessary.
- Supporting the PDL on the development and maintenance of client initiatives and assisting sector and client relationship teams.
- Monitoring and providing updates on procedure and legislative changes and undertaking various research tasks including drafting and assisting with research papers.
- Coordinating the uploading to and maintenance of the Projects e-bibles site.
- Monitoring new starts and sending on appropriate resources.
- Assisting in creating and maintaining knowhow and report templates.
- Horizon scanning and assisting with the monitoring and tracking of legal, policy and industry developments that support the delivery of practice team, sector and client initiatives.
- Assisting with the preparation of internal and client legal updates.
- Assisting fee earners in locating internal and external knowhow.
- Other general assistance with ad hoc and regular tasks.

**Training**
- Assisting the PDL and the Projects Training Forum in organising and coordinating a training programme for Projects (online and in person events), including technical legal training, industry and regulatory changes, soft skills and use of technology / research tools.
- Assisting the PDL in coordinating, managing and rolling out the biannual Projects trainee inductions.
- Monitoring progress and uptake of the junior training programme.
- Maintenance of our online training portal to ensure all training films and materials are uploaded and categorised appropriately.

**Personal Specification**

**Qualifications**
- Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent.

**Relevant Experience**
- Previous paralegal, legal or research experience preferred.
- Experience in the energy and infrastructure sector advantageous.
- Previous experience of SharePoint, document management systems, intranets, extranets and data site management advantageous.

**Key Skills**
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised.
- Proactive and able to drive forward a programme of activities.
- Ability to achieve deadlines with a practical approach to workload and priorities.
- Strong research skills.
- Pro-active approach to identification of work to be done.
- IT literate with a good knowledge and high degree of competency in the use of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
