We are seeking to appoint highly motivated friendly and energetic Delivery Support team members, to help deliver the daily running of the Discovery Centre on a part time
You will form part of a small team of staff with varying levels of equine experience, and assist them on a Lottery funded program called, ‘Project Pony’ which sets out to assist vulnerable people suffering with low level mental health issues.
The role will include teaching our program and supporting other team members, and clients. You will need to be confident, teaching groups of adults with some mental health issues and support needs. You will need to have a good knowledge and understanding of horses although our horses are therapy and non-ridden. You will ideally have had experience of Natural Horsemanship and understand why we use this method with our work.
- Be able to exercise total discretion and uphold confidentiality, when appropriate.
- Be responsible for all yard duties, run the yard efficiently, be proactive and lead a small team.
- Be confident and capable of working alone.
- Have exceptionally high standards of yard and equine management for the day to day care of therapy ponies,
- Answer phone queries, take messages if necessary.
- Deal with clients, including problem solving, and dealing effectively with complaints in a timely manner.
- Have energy, drive, enthusiasm and a positive manner.
- Be very friendly, get involved in pony days, events, open days and also marketing and networking if required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 32 per week

**Salary**: £10.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
