Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working with a leading technology business based in Harrogate.
This is a newly created role due to business growth following a fantastic set of FY.21 results, with more acquisitions already completed in FY.22 and a clear strategy in place to continue with significant acquisitions planned throughout FY.23.
This Senior Finance Manager position would be the perfect fit for someone who has originally trained in practice and is looking to join a fast growing highly acquisitive company.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, your role will include the following responsibilities:
- Assist with the development of the FP&A function including the forecasting and reconciliation of key financial measures on a monthly basis including net debt and working capital.
- Assist with the production of the half year and year end statutory financial statements, including coordination of the annual statutory audit with our external auditors.
- Review and advise on the accounting treatment of certain transactions including the preparation of technical papers confirming treatments with reference to IFRS.
- Support the Head of Corporate Development with analysis on acquisition targets including financial due diligence and integration plans including the alignment of accounting policies.
- Regular monitoring, review and maintenance of key financial controls including formalising key controls across the finance team, suggesting and implementing areas of improvement.
- Review and maintain company accounting policies and procedures, amend and update as required.
- Ensure all external reporting requirements are satisfied including VAT returns, Corporation Tax, PAYE and NI etc.
- Supporting with ad hoc projects and analysis.

To be considered for this role it is highly important that you can demonstrate both a technical and commercial skillset. You must have business partnering experience and be confident in liaising with senior stakeholders.
