**What we are looking for**:
We are looking for an Electrical QS to join our Inverness branch.

This position requires you to supervise, manage and deliver on a day-to-day basis the requirements of all term briefs within the full asset management contract at our branch and any other contract that may be awarded, with particular responsibility for Electrical Compliance.

Essential attributes and key skills needed:

- Appropriate experience working in the Building Construction/Maintenance Industry in particular in the housing sector and preferably social housing.
- The ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the skills, technology and safety procedures required to carry out the full range of tasks contained within the job description.
- The ability to supervise.
- The ability to understand and interpret work instructions.
- The ability to trace, diagnose and rectify faults.
- The ability to establish and maintain good customer/client relationships.
- Full, clean driving licence

As our next Electrical Qualifying Supervisor you will be responsible for:

- Being the main point of contact between Mears Technical Compliance Team / NICEIC / SHE / Managers and where appropriate the client.
- Carrying out regular assessments on all your electricians to ensure compliance with The Electricity at Work Regulations and BS 7671.
- Carrying out regular assessments on subcontractors working for the branch to ensure compliance with The Electricity at Work Regulations and BS 7671.
- Verifying all electricians’ inspection & testing results electronically in a timely manner to prevent Invoicing delays.
- Being registered as the Qualifying Supervisor for the branch and be available for annual assessments by the NICEIC as prescribed within the rules of enrolment.
- Deliver regular TBT’s to your electricians and update your own CPD in line with EAS standards.
- Be the first point of contact for any electrical issues, either raised by the client or the electricians on site.

**What you need to have**:

- Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
- City & Guilds 18th Edition
- Inspection and Testing 2391-01 or equivalent
- Experience of fault finding and Test and Inspecting others work
- Ideally previous domestic, maintenance / social housing experience
