A fantastic opportunity to join a well-known business in the Scarborough area as a Temporary Accounts Assistant.
With an hourly rate of £12, depending on experience and qualification level, this is a full time position for an initial 2-month contract but could be extended.
The successful Temporary Accounts Assistant will mostly support the wider Finance team with purchase and sales ledger and month end processes.
Key responsibilities of the Temporary Accounts Assistant:
- Maintaining accurate and detailed customer records and creating new customer accounts
- Building a good rapport with clients and handle all relevant queries
- Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Collecting monthly direct debits and making payments
- Controlling credit and chasing debt
- Matching, checking, and coding invoices
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month end duties
We are keen to speak with people who have previous experience as an account's assistant, finance assistant, ledger clerk, accounts payable or accounts receivable clerk.
The be successful in this Accounts Assistant role you must:
- Have strong computer literacy and a working knowledge of accounting packages, including Excel
- Have a solid understanding of financial systems and processes
- Have excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Hold strong analytical skills
- Be a strong team player and provide support to the wider finance team
Based in Scarborough, this role is commutable from Filey, Bridlington, Driffield, Malton, Sherburn, Pickering, Snainton, Harwood Dale, Ravenscar and the surrounding areas.
