**Job Title: National Account Controller - FMCG Non Food**

Location: Hybrid working

Package: Competitive basic salary, plus bonus, pension, company car

**Summary**:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the newly created role of National Account Controller will be to create and deliver great joint business plans across multiple accounts within the UK grocery trade. Strong category management, negotiating and brand developmentskills are crucial in this highly visible commercial role.

This branded, FMCG non-food business is going through an exciting period of growth over the next few years which has created a fantastic opportunity to help develop both accounts and other members of the national accounts team.

**The role**:

- Have lead responsibility for key customers (e.g. Sainsbury or Tesco).
- Be the main point of contact for these accounts, developing and maintaining effective relationships with the customer at all levels, specifically with the relevant Category Buyer and cross-functionally.
- Financial responsibilities will include accurate forecasting across the portfolio i.e. cost, price, and volume.
- Management responsibility (structure to be discussed with CEO) during the interview process.
- The role of managing the accounts includes, but is not limited to forecasting, price negotiation, planning, full profit and loss responsibility of major accounts, budgeting, category management, marketing and logistics.

**The person**:

- Demonstrate a professional manner, be very commercially aware and is interested in what the competition are doing.
- Ideally experience in a management / mentoring role.
- Confidence, motivation and determination, as well as the ability to deal with rejection.
- Strong networking and influencing skills at all levels.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Have high attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- A good listener, able to respond to results and consumer research.
- Be able to build outstanding customer relationships and have impeccable 'people skills'.
- Have good presentation skills.
- Able to work well on your own, or with a wide range of people from different parts of the business.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage different projects at the same time.
- Enjoy working in a busy, deadline driven and creative environment.
- Be energetic and passionate about the business - possess or have the ability to develop in-depth knowledge about our products and markets.

**Education & Experience**:

- Be of graduate calibre with branded FMCG experience.
- Have proven sales and management experience.
- Possess a good understanding of the UK Grocery Trade.
