** Great Financial Controller Opportunity in Surrey**

Grafton Banks Finance is looking for a competent and credible Financial Controller to join a growing SME business in Surrey, offering a friendly and cohesive culture, as well as 2 days working from home and paid parking for the office days. This role reportsto the CFO and would suit either a Financial Controller, or an experienced Senior Management Accountant with financial reporting experience looking to step up.

The main purposes of the role is to ensure that accounting records of the firm are kept in accordance with accounting standards, support the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processes, preparing the annual budget, monthly statementsand other financial reports. In addition, this person will develop financial processes and controls and support on finance system implementation.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

- Managing the firm’s month end reporting
- Prepare the annual budget and financial forecasting for review and report on variances
- Preparing, analysing and publishing all monthly financial statements
- Creating reports which identifies results, trends and forecasts and enable decision making
- Responsibility for a small finance team - covering Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Support the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processes
- Helping the CFO in presenting reports to board members, senior executives, and board members
- A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5 years+ post qualified experience
- Able to demonstrate strong core technical accounting knowledge - UK GAAP legislation and statutory requirements
- Possess strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Advanced Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
- Helpful to have experience of Business Central/Navision, Sales force and Power BI.
