**THE POSITION**:
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Alternative Provision setting in the Bristol area, on a long-term basis.

Our client is a specialist alternative educational provision for young people with special educational needs. They are in need of an experienced Teaching Assistant to join them on a long-term basis. With the complex needs of the students, we are lookingfor individuals who are capable and enthusiastic to work in a challenging but highly rewarding environment. You will be responsible for working with the children on a 1:1 basis, supporting them in the community as well as on the school site, in the classroom.

We are particularly looking for individuals who have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to quickly establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils, effectively reengaging them with their learning. As an SEN TA at the school, youwill be required to work with students on a 1:1, small group and general basis and be on hand to provide support to the class teacher where needed.

**VACANCY DETAILS**:

- **Location**:Bristol
- **Position**:Teaching Assistant - SEN
- **Contract**: temporary to permanent
- **Hours**: full-time, 8.30am - 3.30pm
- **Start Date**:ASAP
- **Pay Rate**:£75-£85 per day

**EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (ideally in an SEN setting)
- Strong behaviour management skills and the capability to engage with students
- Resilient, charismatic and compassionate
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year - Prospero can provide this

**TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST**:

- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Provide two professional references
