Orthopaedic Team Leader

**Orthopaedic Team Lead | Theatres | Band 6 equivalent | Funded SFA and Management courses | Tollerton, Nottingham | Full time or part time considered; Monday '“ Friday | Flexible shifts, No nights | Optional Saturdays**

As part of our ongoing expansion at Spire Nottingham Hospital, we are looking for experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner to join our outstanding team as a Team Leader. **Duties and responsibilities**:
As Team Lead, you will oversee the orthopaedic speciality, ensuring that specialist KIT is in place and liaising with Consultants for ongoing specialist requirements. Working clinically as part of this friendly and supportive team, you can expect to assist patients undergoing a range of elective spinal procedures which is set to increase in the future.

We also offer the SFA course fully funded as part of this role, as well as the Spire Healthcare Leadership and Management course, and support staff with any additional training they feel suitable for their role.
- You will provide excellent patient care and carry out scrub duties to a varied caseload of patients.
- Co-ordinating the department including off duty
- Be the point of contact for orthopaedic speciality
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
- Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
- Lead by example and promote best practice within your team.
- Assist in maintaining and developing services.
- Contribute to quality improvement.
- Promote people's equality, diversity and rights

**Who we're looking for**:

- Registered Nurse or Theatre Practitioner
- NMC or HCPC registered - your registration should not have any restrictions or conditions
- At least 2 years' scrub experience in orthopaedic surgeries
- Compassionate and able to showcase excellent patient care
- Strong communication skills
- Willing to develop your clinical skills and support your team to do the same
