Senior Theatre Practitioner- OrthopaedicsThe Park Hospital37.5 Hours & PermanentSalary: Up to 46500.00 per year (depending on level of experience training and qualification)The Park Hospital in Nottingham is part of Circle Health Group Britains leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.We have an opportunity for a Senior Theatre Practitionerto join their team of staff in theTheatredepartment.This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.Duties of this role include:Prepare and handle specialist instrumentation and equipment (e.g. power tools implants navigation systems) in line with manufacturers guidance and surgical protocols.Provide skilled assistance to the surgical and anaesthetic teams anticipating needs and adapting to changes during procedures.Take a senior role in preparing theatres coordinating surgical lists and ensuring all equipment staff and resources are in place.Support the Theatre Manager with team briefings scheduling stock control and ensuring safe patient flow through the theatre suite.Supervise junior theatre practitioners ODPs and healthcare assistants providing clinical guidance and oversight during shifts.Identify and escalate clinical or operational risks and participate in audits and incident reviews.Liaise closely with consultants anaesthetists recovery staff and ward teams to ensure continuity of care and an excellent patient experience.Applicants should meet the following criteria:Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).Significant experience in the perioperative setting with specialist knowledge in orthopaedic surgery.Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of procedures including complex cases.Excellent leadership communication and decision-making skills.Strong understanding of clinical governance infection control and safety practices in theatre.Previous experience in a senior or team lead role within theatresAt least 5 years vast experience in Elective Orthopaedics including Revision surgery.Salary & BenefitsCircle Health Group is committed to offering competitive starting salaries and access to a wide range of employee benefits including:25 days holiday per year bank holidays increasing to 30 days with servicePrivate Pension SchemePrivate Healthcare Scheme for treatment at our hospitals covering pre-existing medical conditionsFriends & Family Hospital DiscountsFamily Friendly policies including enhanced Maternity Paternity & Adoption payNon-contributory life insuranceStaff engagement hub with access to discounts and extensive rewards and voluntary benefitsAccess to resources tools and services to support your wellbeingEmployee recognition programmesIndustry leading training and development opportunitiesand much moreCircle Health Group is committed to creating a diverse workforce offering inclusive opportunities for all our colleagues.
