**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide day-to-day support in a Year 2 classroom, working closely with the class teacher to enhance the learning experience.
- Assist with the delivery of lessons in line with the primary curriculum, helping students to access the curriculum effectively.
- Support students with varying learning needs, providing differentiated support to ensure progress for all pupils.
- Help manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and productive learning environment.
- Occasionally supervise the whole class, ensuring safety and engagement during lessons, break times, and activities.
- Provide individual and small group support to reinforce key learning objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Maintain a high standard of record-keeping for pupil progress and behaviour.

**Essential Qualifications & Experience**:

- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, particularly in Year 2.
- Experience of working within a classroom environment, ideally supporting children in Key Stage 1.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable and adaptable approach, with a commitment to the school’s ethos and values.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Experience of whole-class supervision is desirable, or the willingness to take on this responsibility as required.

**Desirable Skills**:

- HLTA qualification or relevant higher-level teaching assistant experience would be an advantage.
- Experience in supporting children with additional learning needs.
- A proactive, flexible approach to supporting both individual and group learning.
- A positive attitude and a passion for working with children.
