**Technical Sales Administrator - Engineering / Electrical
Southend on Sea, Essex
£19,000 - £30,000 DOE**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a reputable and forever growing distributor of fire protection products based in Southend on Sea.

Joining their team primarily in an internal sales role but as they’re a small company other duties will be required. **PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO COLD CALLING INVOLVED IN THIS ROLE.**

**The Role**
Short Term (whilst training):

- General admin support to rest of team
- Processing online & telephone orders
- Processing card payments
- Taking customers calls and trying to help or taking detailed messages
- Booking out deliveries using carrier software
- Tracking and resolving delivery failures with customers and carrier
- Packing goods which includes heavy lifting

Longer Term (3-12 months)

The aim is to gradually take on the sales role and ultimately be a technical sales person generating sales from enquires.
- Understanding of the customer requirements and specifying the correct products
- Providing technical support to customers with their installations
- Product testing and basic wiring
- Managing customer enquires to complete the sale

Although full training will be provided they are looking for someone with confidence and enthusiasm who can use their own initiative. Someone who can work as part of a team, ask questions and have the ability to learn their product range. You will be ableto picture what the customers requirements are and any issues that may arise and work out the best solution and product for them.
- Previous customer service / sales advisor experience
- An electrical or engineering qualification would be a major advantage
- GSCE's (or equivalent) in English & Maths are needed
- Proactive learner
- Ability to learn a technical product
- Able to understand customer's requirements
- Takes responsibility for their sales

Useful Experience:

- Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical products
- Experience in the construction industry
- Experience using Sage
- Sales Experience
- Ability to use CRM system

**The Package**

Salary is dependent on experience, there are opportunities later to earn a sales related bonus.

Hours are 8.30 - 5.30 with an hour for lunch

28 days holiday, Nest pension scheme, on-site parking.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£30,000.00 per year - dependent on experience
