Job Title: Asbestos Deputy Technical Manager.Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex.Salary / Benefits £25k – £45k + Benefits We have an opportunity for an Asbestos Deputy Technical Manager to join a leading Asbestos Constancy based in the Essex area. This role would suit an experienced surveyor, with a sound knowledge of HSG 264 and asbestos surveying, who is looking to take a step back from site work and progress into a technical management role. You will be overseeing a team of office staff, alongside using your technical knowledge and site experience to carry out lab and site audits, to ensure work is carried out to UKAS standard. Experience & Qualifications: Experience working on site as an asbestos surveyor for an established UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy. Hold the BOHS P402, S301 or RSPH equivalent. Excellent IT skills, able to use TEAMS/ TRACKER systems. Excellent communication skills. Able to organise workload in line with company / client needs. The Role: Efficiently managing a team of office staff. Visiting sites/laboratory and conducting audits. Carrying out internal and external audits. Attending client meetings when required, professionally representing the company. Producing competitive tenders and quotes. Providing support to the company’s technical managers. Assisting with UKAS audits. Ensuring compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation. Ensuring that internal systems are up to date and accurate.
