We are currently going through a period of rapid growth and so are currently looking to recruit an experienced **Despatch Operative**, on a full-time, permanent basis, to join our team in Bellshill.

To work as a Despatch Operator, it is essential that you have **a valid Forklift Licence. **You will be reporting to the Front-Line Managers and will have the ability to work on your own as well as part of the manufacturing team, working Sunday to Thursday 09.30am to 5.30pm

Your main job role is to ensure the safe and accurate intake of incoming goods, their storage and transfer to production areas whilst observing all food safety rules and Health & Safety procedures. Your main focus is ensuring that the orders are picked correctly and packed for outload therefore good attention to detail is essential.

**What you will be doing**:

- Observing strict standards of Health & Safety;
- Receiving goods in, dealing with delivery drivers and operating as banksman;
- Stock control and rotation
- Picking stock, building pallets and baskets, ensure they are all correctly labelled for the right customer and cross checked as they are being loaded against documentation;
- Ensure that all products are handled in line with Company procedures;
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping at all times, keeping warehouse and yard clean, tidy and clutter free;
- To assist in maintaining laid down procedures and practices to comply with BRC standards;
- Liaise daily with teams in production, quality and logistics;
- Assisting in other areas of the Factory where required.

- Rate of pay is **£10.80** an hour with an additional attendance bonus in place where you have full monthly attendance giving a potential hourly rate of **£11.18**:

**Requirements we need**:

- Reach & Counter Balance FLT Licence (essential)
- Previous experience in Despatch / Warehouse operation (essential)
- Previous experience in food manufacturing facility (essential)
- Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 (desirable)
- Good attention to detail & verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and also as part of a team
- To be reliable, punctual and responsible with a flexible approach to work

**Shift pattern: Sunday - Thursday**

**Shift Times: 9.30am - 6pm**

**Pay Frequency: Monthly**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £10.80 per hour
