**Digital Content Officer**

**£20,675 to £25,008 (FTE £34,459 to £41,680)**

**Working pattern: This is a part-time post working 3 days per week (22 hours and 12 minutes). The working pattern will generally be Tuesday to Thursday (with some flexibility in line with business needs).**

**Location: This is a hybrid role, working from Holyrood, and from home.**

Working in one of the most influential places in Scotland, this is an excellent opportunity to join the Parliamentary Communications Office (PCO) as a Digital Content Officer.

The post holder will be responsible for the creation and development of digital content for the Parliament’s social media channels. They will help to develop and maintain a consistent quality, style and tone for all online information whilst putting the needs of the people who use our information at the heart of what we create.

Reporting to the Digital Content Manager, the postholder will work closely with other members of the Digital Communications and Content Team, and with Communication Managers across PCO, to deliver an integrated communications function for the Parliament. This includes web content, social media and photography.

You will have experience of creating and editing innovative and engaging social content and digital assets to support communication campaigns. You will be proficient in content planning tools to facilitate the ongoing delivery of content across Parliament’s social channels.

The post holder will use analytics and wider user insights to deliver useful, relevant and accessible content across our digital channels which supports parliamentary business, our public engagement aims and which links seamlessly with our other communications channels and activities.

The postholder will be creative, have an eye for detail, and be able to create multimedia content including photography, graphics, video and audio for Parliamentary social channels.
