Childrensalon is now recruiting for an Import and Export Senior to join our busy Logistics team. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude and flexible approach to variety of tasks. You will facilitate all Inbound logistics shipmentscrossing international borders by ensuring that the shipment adheres to custom regulations and will lead the small Import & Export team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensures Import and Export documentation is correctly administered to ensure product movement between the UK and third countries.
- Completes Customs declarations entries and shipping documentations.
- Reviews all paperwork and documents to ensure shipping and customs fees are billed correctly.
- Key point of contact with suppliers or freight forwarders when there is an import/export issue.
- Works closely with other departments to ensure efficient deliveries and timely reports for Finance.
- Manages the day-to-day operation for the Import & Export team.
- Trains junior members and oversees any problems that may arise.
- Helps for Outbound Logistics shipments as required.
- Keeps up to date with changes in regulations, laws, and customs procedure.

- Excellent communication skills - dealing with suppliers, freight forwarders, solving problems.
- Excellent admin and organizational skills.
- Able to work as part of a team across different departments and communicate clearly.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Attention to detail, adaptable and willing to learn.

Essential Education and Experience:

- At least 2 years of experience coming from an important/export background with a working knowledge of import and export customs procedures and preparing import/export documentation.
- Experience of completing entries, clearances, and shipping documentation.
- Supervisory/Team leader experience.

Desirable Education and Experience:

- Qualifications in Import/export/logistics would be beneficial.
- Relevant degree would be desirable.
- Experience using Descartes e-Customs system would be an advantage.
- Experience of working in an e-commerce environment would be an advantage.
- Knowledge or experience with customs warehouse or similar customs procedure.

This role is based at our Head Office in Tunbridge Wells.
