We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Research Team as a Mass Spectroscopy Scientist to lead the mass spectrometry facility, maintaining the supply of data and work to the business.

The Details...
Maintaining and improving the service given to users from departments across the business, carrying out regular sample preparation and working closely with a wide range of inputs.
Carry out routine sample preparation as well as more complex or demanding procedures
This role will require excellent laboratory skills, reliability in bench-based practical work, and the ability to carry out complex and routine tasks with equal attention to detail and thoroughness.

What We're Looking For...
- Worked with ESI mass spectrometry equipment
- Worked with U/HPLC equipment
- Experience with protein sample preparation methods including solid phase extraction, HPLC, buffer exchange methods
- Used mass spectrometry specific software for the analysis of intact proteins and protein digest samples, including proteomics and modification mapping
- Be able to run pre-existing LC-MS methods
- Experience preparing mass spectrometry compatible samples

Desirable : - Worked with Waters Q-ToF instruments on UNIFI
- Experience with oligonucleotide (DNA and RNA) sample preparation methods
- Experience interpreting raw mass spectra
- Experience with small molecule mass spectrometry
- Development new LC separation methods
- Development new mass spectrometry methods for the analysis of proteins, peptides and small molecules
