**Rotating shift pattern Monday-Friday, 6.15am to 2.20pm / 2.15pm to 10.20pm rotating shift - 40.42 paid hours a week - £12.46 per hour - £503.63 per week.**

**Permanent Nights Monday-Friday 10.15pm to 6.20am - 40.42 paid hours a week - £13.67 per hour - £552.54 per week.**

John Cotton Group Limited require a 2nd Machine Operative to lead a team at Mirfield in the Fillings Department for its continued expansion you will report into the Shift Manager.

In this role, you will be leading the team on a shift-by-shift basis to ensure the highest quality of product at the highest standards are manufactured to our customers.

The role also requires covering the machine operative role during breaks, holidays and absence, which involves running the production line, checking the product quality and ensuring the line is running to the correct speed

**Main Responsibilities**:
**Ensure the product is removed from the production line and packaged and labelled as per agreed quality standards.**
- Re process the production waste using the waste picker to the agreed rules
- Escalate problems to machine operator where necessary
- Operate machinery and equipment according to specification
- Working to the worklist on the online production system, including booking production
- Ensure you are complying with all Health & Safety regulations
- Ensure the equipment and work area is handed over to the next shift in the correct condition with information communicated
- Checking tolerance and parameters including liaising with the Machine Operator to ensure efficient change over, reduced waste and ensuring orders are produced to planned quantity
- Other duties as assigned

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience preferred
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Good level of maths
