We are looking to increase our team of Progress Chasers to deliver an enhanced service over the winter period.

As part of the Progress Chasing team you will be integral to the success of the non-elective related KPIs including emergency professional standards and discharge planning.

You will support the clinical teams to ensure that patients are seen/reviewed and discharged in a timely manner, that they have investigations and interventions completed and are being seen by the right person in the right place at the right time.

You will work across multiple settings including; ED, Acute, paediatrics and inpatient wards.

Progress Chasers provide an essential support service to the efficient deliver of NEL pathways.

You will assist in the management of movement and flow of patients to maintain patient safety, enhance compliance of related KPIs and support a positive patient experience.

You will provide a link between the ED, Assessment areas, inpatient wards, the Operations Centre and other relevant teams to facilitate the flow of patients.

Assisting in the movement and flow of patients through the hospital and in the ED to enhance performance of the emergency 4. hour target.

Improving the efficiency of patient flow throughout the trust.

Handling calls from the Operations Centre regarding patient plans

Ensuring Specialty attendance to ED within 30 minutes of referral and escalating to the Operations Centre if this target is not met.

Chasing wards to confirm availability of allocated beds.
