We, in Horizon, are a Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), working with children and young people experiencing distress as a result of sexual harm. There is no doubt that working in mental health, and particularly with sexual harm, can be challenging, but it can also be a hugely rewarding, and fulfilling experience, where you can make a real difference.
This Assistant Psychologist role is based at Maple House, The Slade, Oxford. The team shares office space with other small teams which are co-managed and offer other specialist input to children who are getting into trouble or being harmed by others.
We work in a variety of ways including consultation, assessment and intervention. We are looking for a motivated and passionate assistant psychologist to help our service delivery and support our ongoing development. The role supports the team whilst also being under the supervision of a clinical psychologist and contributes to the treatment of individuals as well as the service response more generally.
We'll need you to travel across the county for direct work and to the office as required, but there is the possibility of some remote working.
**There will be some direct work opportunities**: some coworking and some autonomous working. This includes supporting with assessment, 1:1 and group interventions for young people and their families
Attending and contributing to MDT and referral meetings
Liaising with other agencies and offering consultation and advice when indicated
Supporting with the collection and scoring of routine outcome measures and patient feedback
Assist in clinically related administration; conduct of audits; collection of statistics; development of audit and/or research projects; teaching and project work.
Attending regular clinical and management supervision
