Contract length: 18 months
Location: Warwick (in office 1 day per week)
Pay rate: £600 per day, inside IR35
My client is an international electricity and gas company and one of the largest investor-owned Energy companies in the world. They play a vital role in delivering gas and electricity to many millions of people across Great Britain and North-Eastern US in anefficient, reliable, and safe manner.
Job purpose
Provide PMO leadership for the one of the key programmes as part of the wider Future System Operator programme. Delivering effective management of the overall project planning, delivery, and governance, including providing co-ordination across all relevantworking groups, and steering committees.
Ensure project standards are adhered to across all workstreams and be the driver for consistency with project delivery.
Provide support and co-ordination with meeting agendas and minutes, both to internal and external parties, and any relevant reports, slides, and materials to ensure the effective review of the programme.
Deliverables
- Create and manage overall project plans, working with workstream leads and programme manager to ensure plans are on track.
- Provide effective coordination for the project and programme team, ensuring all meetings are supported with clear agendas, minutes, and actions
- Ensure appropriate project and programme governance is in place, and adhered to, with clear escalation routes
- Support the programme with any reports when required
- Work with Project analysts to ensure resources are properly planned and managed throughout project lifecycle
- Supporting the delivery of effective financial management in both forecast and actuals
Desirable Experience
- Proven experience as a PMO Lead with a demonstrable track record of PMO delivery
- Experience in both waterfall and agile project delivery
- Comfortable working with and challenging project managers and workstream leads across the business
- Comfortable in working in programmes that span internal and external stakeholders
