An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Surgical day unit for a ward clerk. the post holder will provide a comprehensive administration service as part of a team of ward administrators.
You will work within the surgical day unit speciality to facilitate the smooth running of the patients journey by ensuring that co-ordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs.
The Surgical day unit is a vey busy environment with an average of 50+ patients attending for procedures each day.
The surgical day unit has day cases and over night admissions.
The admin team is a small team of 5 working closely together, they are expected to cover the reception area and the nurses station dealing directly with patients, relatives and members of the multi-disciplinary teams.

**What you will do**:
To provide clerical support to a designated ward/unit/department, to relieve professional staff of clerical procedures and act as a receptionist to patients and visitor
