Wybone is a well-established, dynamic and innovative manufacturing company, specialising in street furniture, litter and recycling bins and clinical waste sackholders. Supplying into Local Authorities, the NHS and blue chip companies throughout the UK.
We are recruiting for a Stores Assistant to work alongside our existing team. The Stores Assistant responsibilities is to provide an efficient and effective stores and despatch service, ensuring best value at all times, supporting the Supply Chain Team in the day-to-day activities.
The role is based at our site in Barnsley and all relevant training will be provided.
**The key aspects of the role are**:
- To support the Supply Chain Team in the day to day running of the Stores department.
- Receiving goods, including quantity & quality checks, processing on the system and storing away.
- Issuing stock orders to production areas in support of Lean Manufacturing.
- To facilitate the despatch of products including loading of vehicles.
- Processing stock control data via the Sage system.
- Support the Despatch & Logistics Co-ordinator with carrier shipment & administration activities.
- To deal promptly with request for returns & complete upon receipt.
- To support the Supply Chain Co-ordinators as custodian of Stores, Despatch Bay, External Stores & Yard, contributing to an exemplary standard of organisation and housekeeping.
- Accurately completing and controlling all associated paperwork.
- To contribute to a positive, customer focused culture by the development and maintenance of mature relationships with colleagues, ensuring a high standard of customer service to external customers and professional service to colleagues.
- To undertake stock checks as required, including rolling checks & annual stock count.
- To contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
**About You**:
- Experience of a similar environment & operational area
- Takes ownership of problems and initiates solutions
- Team Player
- Time Management and Workload prioritisation skills
- IT Literate (Sage 200 desired)
- FLT Licence
- Flexibility to working hours
- An awareness of the business management systems, (Quality - ISO 9001:2015, Environmental - ISO 14001 and Health & Safety - ISO 45001) is desirable

**Salary**
£24,250 starter rate + Pension + Healthcare
Salary will be based on knowledge and experience.

42.5 Hours per week
Worked between 7am & 5pm - Monday to Friday
