**Our Purpose**
To engage with communities across NEL offering advice and education activity designed to minimise the environmental impact of litter and waste, maximise domestic recycling, improve environment and nature protection, animal welfare and other matters affecting our street scene, open spaces and natural habitats.
**The Role**
You will play a vital role in educating and advising local communities on key environmental issues. You will be involved in campaigns and education activity to minimise waste, promote recycling, tackle environmental crime and protect and enhance our natural environment. This will involve working directly with schools, voluntary organisations and volunteers to inspire positive change. You’ll also help develop digital content to spread awareness and support initiatives that improve the streetscape and environmental cleanliness.
**About You**
You are passionate about the environment and committed to making a difference. You thrive in both independent and team environments, using your initiative to resolve challenges and drive community engagement and positive change. Your communication skills allow you to connect with diverse audiences, inspiring action and fostering positive relationships. Previous experience in environmental work, community engagement, or public advocacy is desirable.
