Fabric Sample Fulfillment Assistant

Based nowadays in our 17th Century Barn in the picturesque Surrey countryside we introduce our customers to furniture that is both stunningly beautiful and inherently robust, even in the face of family life. We make everything to order, to our customers exact specification so it suits their home perfectly.

We’re looking for talented people to help us on our journey to the next level. Which includes an exciting opportunity to join our Purchasing team, where you will be chiefly responsible for the placement of purchase orders and liaising with our makers to ensure that our customers receive their products on time and to their exact specification. You will be the main point of contact for order amendments, cancellations and delays and be a dab hand at managing these scenarios to achieve the best outcome for our customers.

You’ll need to be confident and have professional vendor handling skills, with a great work ethic, and a natural flair for methodical work. A keen attention to detail and passion for organisation are a must, and an eye for interiors is a welcome bonus

The role sits at the centre of a friendly team, acting as the critical cog in the customer journey, liaising internally with our sales and logistics teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from order to delivery.
- Picking and packing with lots of care customer fabric sample orders into packs for postage
- Printing all customer fabric sample orders every day and making sure they’re ready to go before the Postie arrives
- Be a stickler for presentation so our customers samples arrive perfectly packaged
- Have a keen attention to detail so our customers always get the correct fabric samples, matching their order
- Be a dab hand at working at pace to get the job done
- Using a franking machine to add postage to our customer’s orders
- Prepare fabric sample boxes for our Trade customers
- Reorder as needed fabrics, labels, ink, sample packs and brochures when stocks run low
- Complete inventory takes as required to keep on top of stock levels and reordering
- On occasion add handwritten notes to our lovely customers with their fabric sample choices to make them smile
- Process adhoc fabric sample requests from the showroom teams
- Update the CRM to indicate when the swatch order has been sent

In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined above, the role will offer the opportunity to experience other duties commensurate with post delegated via the leadership team.

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week
