**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Perform embedding and microtomy procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare tissue samples for analysis, ensuring proper handling and processing according to laboratory standards.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and materials.
- Support in the management of stock and supplies, ensuring lab resources are maintained and available.
- Follow strict health and safety guidelines, ensuring all work complies with NHS and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with senior staff to support various histology tasks, including slide preparation and staining.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, ensuring full traceability and compliance with quality assurance procedures.
- Participate in laboratory audits and assist with quality control checks to ensure high standards of work.
- Collaborate with team members and other healthcare professionals to support the smooth operation of the lab.

**Experience**
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is desirable
- Familiarity with basic laboratory procedures and equipment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to laboratory work
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well within a team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.13-£16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- HCPC state registration as a (BMS) is required (required)
