I am currently recruiting a role for a Group Accountant for our client a global business based in Cambridge. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a fast growing organisation. The role has come about due to two internal promotions. The company has an outstandingreputation for progression and development of talent and an emphasis on finding the right work/life balance. This role will report to the Group Financial Controller and you’ll also interact regularly with the Director of Finance and Operations and CFO.
You’ll work alongside anotherGroup Accountant to run the month end and management accounts processes for the UK and US entities, supported by local transactional finance professionals. You’ll also be involved in the accounting forother group entities andbe a key member of the group-wide finance team.
You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of the accruals and prepayments, fixed assets, payroll, staff expenses and intercompany transactions so that you can post and reconcile all of these areas, among other things.
You’ll be involved in our UK and overseas payrolls, VAT returns, cash and business forecasting.
You’ll also be involved with half-year and full-year group financial reporting, external audit and statutory accounts preparation. You’ll play a crucial role in keeping us up to date with our tax filing obligations in the various jurisdictions.
You’ll learn loads about how the cash flows work so that you can forecast these on a regular basis and make sure we have all the right money in all the right places at all the right times.
