**This is the job** AA Digital is a fast-paced team working on some of the most exciting innovations in the industry including connected car technology. The team has adopted an Agile delivery model leveraging the Scrum framework. High performing, self-organising teams are expectedand encouraged.
The last year has seen a period of intense growth in Digital where we have scaled our agile capabilities, stood up additional scrum teams and our Scrum Master roles are key to enabling good practice and embedding our ways of working.
The Scrum Master will take on the role of guiding our digital scrum teams towards stable and predictable delivery driven by sprint goals and aligned to a product roadmap. Working closely with Product Owner(s)/BA’s and the cross functional delivery teams,focused on value driven delivery that supports innovation, optimisation, and maintenance of The AA’s digital products.
Acting as a servant leader to the team, you will remove impediments and obstacles on behalf of the team, create and update various status and productivity reporting, ensure all standards and processes are followed and generate all required reports and relatedartefacts.
The Scrum Master will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and delivery for the team, prioritised by the respective Product Owner, ensuring the overall scope and technical requirements for assigned sprints are understood and implemented.
**What will I be doing?**:
- Support and coach the scrum team in agile good practice and ways of working
- Build a supportive culture and safe environment within the team; understanding the barriers to motivation, finding ways to overcome them
- Ensure Scrum Events are run, are effective and productive through education and facilitation
- Ensure the team is working on what they set out to achieve and that they can achieve it
- Be available to the team, happy to step up to get things done, even when it may feel outside your comfort zone
- Work in close collaboration with Product Owners and BA’s to establish a healthy backlog, aligned to the team roadmap
- Anticipate, evaluate, and communicate the impact of delivery changes before decisions are made
- Be an ambassador for digital and agile within the AA
**What do I need?** Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least three years for a software development team
- Able to communicate with influence and engage senior stakeholders across a matrix organisation
- Demonstrable experience of working with remote teams
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Able to lead, inspire and influence others to achieve success
- Knowledge and understanding of Consumer Services, Insurance or Financial Services desirable
- Knowledge of Sitecore desirable
- Knowledge of Pega desirable
Education and Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master
