**ACCOMMODATION ASSISTANT - CREWE - NIGHT SHIFT (NIGHTS) - £20,280 BASIC SALARY + EXCELLENT BENEFITS**

Accommodation Assistant (Nights) required for our client who are a leading education support and services provider institute based in Crewe.

Our client’s vision: to become a vibrant health sciences campus which inspires collaborations between healthcare, academia, innovation and research to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Due to their continued success, they now require an looking for an Accommodation Assistant to be based at Booth Hall which is a 799 room accommodation facility for Nurses, Doctors, medical professionals and medical students.

**THE ROLE**
- As an Accodomation Assistant your duties will include general Reception and administration duties including first point of contact for all visitors welcoming and providing information, advice/guidance, processing new arrivals and room departures, assistingwith bookings and room allocations, reporting maintenance faults, receiving and recording the delivery of post and parcels.
- Make appointments for enquirers and others with relevant members of the Accommodation Team
- Assist in the management of bookings and room allocations within halls, following any processes to accurately record any room changes, departures etc.
- Report and track maintainence problems in line with operational requirements and processes, taking due consideration for anyone in the vicinity
- Undertake regular patrols both internally & externally, monitoring and reporting any security incidents to help maintain a safe and pleasant environment.
- Assisting with housekeeping and porter tasks in order to prepare the accommodation for new arrivals or after departures, and other general housekeeping tasks i.e. cleaning spillages on stairs, tidying communal areas, removal of rubbish etc.
- Accurately record student behaviour and visitor logs
- Complete mandatory training in line with Departmental and ABHSC requirements, and act as a role model to new starters
- The role requires you to be flexible in your approach on a day to day basis, in order to deal with all operational requirements and support the team, as well as working across operational boundaries as reasonably requested.
- This is a full-time permanent position
- 42 hours per week over a rolling 4 nights on / 4 nights off shift pattern
- Night Shift: 19.00hrs - 07.00hrs (9pm to 7am)
- Based from our clients Crewe location with on-site parking

**THE PERSON**
- The successful Accommodation Assistant will ideally have similar experience
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment, able to demonstrate an emphasis on providing a quality service and dealing with difficult situations over the phone and also face-to-face enquiries in a professional manner.

- Ability to carry out duties as outlined in the Job Description which include repetative tasks, bending, walking, pushing, lifting, climbing stairs, and handling equipment
- Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instruction and procedures and to communicate clearly in the English language.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, writing skills, with a sound grasp of grammar and spelling, and the ability to take responsibility for the accuracy and presentation of work and excellent telephone and interpersonal skills using tactand discretion.
- Level of education equivalent to 5 passes at GCSE (Grades A - C including English and Maths) / NVQ Level 2 or a period of sustained relevant experience showing clear evidence of excellent literacy and numeracy
- Able to work the shift patterns advertised with opportunity do overtime
- Working a Night Shift only
- Live within a commutable distance to the Crewe, Cheshire location

**THE PACKAGE**
- £20,280 Basic Salary
- 8% Non-contributory pension
- 33 days holiday including bank and public holidays
