We are working with a food manufacturer who has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Quality Manager to join their team in East Merseyside.

**This is a management role in the Quality department and covers but is not limited to the following activities**:

- Manage (plan, co-ordinate, and lead) all customer and third-party audits (BRC, Retailers, Brand Partners, Kosher, Halal, FT, Organic etc.).
- Responsible to ensure that we meet and operate to all government, customer, and accreditation technical standards; factory and site standards, food legislation and customer codes of practice/standards.
- Personally drive the improvement of our Quality Management System, drive continuous improvement in food safety and product quality, always ensuring compliance to the agreed standards.
- Manage and support the business through effective use of existing and acquired knowledge, skills, and experience in the improvement of quality systems, process control, and food safety management. This includes routine product testing, food safety (HACCP)and training.
- Food Safety, QMS, BRC and Customer Code of Practice and legal compliance
- Customer, accreditations, and 3rd party audits
- Customer/ Retailer polices and Codes of Practice (alignment/introduction into our manufacturing standards)

**Experience required**:

- 3 - 5 years’ experience in food manufacturing in a quality/technical related role.
- A qualification in a food science/technology related discipline (Food Safety, Food Technology, Microbiology or similar)
- A working understanding of food safety, HACCP, factory GMP and health & safety.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (BRC, IFS, FSSC 22000 etc).
- Experience of systems implementation and SOP creation, training and IQA.
- Good written and verbal skills
- Computer literacy, specifically with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Positive, optimistic, enthusiastic, and resilient

**The Offer**:

- £35,000
- Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
- 33 days annual leave (option to buy more)
- 5% matched pension contribution
