**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficient food production and service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety in accordance with health regulations.
- Assist in training new staff members on kitchen procedures, food preparation techniques, and customer service expectations.
- Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
- Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and support to enhance team dynamics.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- A passion for food production and helping others succeed in their roles.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: £11.90-£11.95 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
