Over 300 million Europeans live within one hour's drive of an easyJet airport. **TEAM** This role is part of the Flight Operations Technical team, reporting to the Aircraft Performance & Flight Efficiencies Manager. The Flight Efficiencies Specialist will become an important member of the team working closely with the Flight Operations Team. **JOB PURPOSE** Reporting into the Aircraft Performance & Flight Efficiencies Manager, taking individual responsibility for the reporting of flight efficiency initiatives covering optimisation of fuel consumption, emissions and operating costs. Analysing current and future initiatives in the context of airline costs and network. Managing fuel related projects and working cross functionally to identify and promote efficiencies. **JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES** **>** Supporting the implementation, oversight and management of internal and external Flight Efficiencies Reporting Systems **> **Performing ad-hoc fuel and efficiency initiatives and related projects as required **> **Monitoring, tracking and analysing fuel and flight efficiencies related data **> **Review limitations in existing reporting and suggest opportunities for improvement **> **Identifying and promoting individual route, airport and aircraft efficiencies **> **Assessing industry innovation to support implementation of further flight efficiency initiatives **> **Development and delivery of Flight Efficiency Base, Airport, and Central Management Reports as required **> **Provides regular updates and periodical reports to leadership of the organisation **> **Ensuring effective communications to the Flight Operations Community on implementation and enhancements to flight efficiencies across the network **> **Manage, develop and maintain the Flight Ops - Flight Efficiencies SharePoint page **> **Support the Flight Operations team to improve uptake of current and future initiatives **> **Participate in departmental and cross-functional working groups as required in relation to departmental initiatives **> **Review of fuel efficiency initiative’s proposals to assess data requirements and monitoring feasibility **Operational excellence** **> **Will liaise regularly with the Aircraft Performance & Flight Efficiencies Manager in order to discuss results/feedback and development of systems and processes. **People** **> **Working closely with the existing team of Technical Specialists within Flight Operations to ensure that easyJet delivers the highest possible service levels for its passengers. **Requirements of the Role** **KEY SKILLS /REQUIREMENTS** **Essential** **> **You will have a proven analytical experience working with large amounts of technical data, ideally in the aviation industry. **> **Well organised and have an excellent eye for detail when working under pressure. **> **Succinct verbal and written communication of technical matters. **> **Ability to engage and work with other teams to lead a strong focus on innovation and efficiency. **> **Proactive and resilient with the ability to manage workload to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. **> **Computer literate with Windows and Microsoft Office and excel. **Desirable** **> **Flight Operations experience including Aircraft Performance and Navigation. **> **Experience of SQL and Python is a distinct advantage. **LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK** This full-time role will be contractually based in Luton (Hybrid working options available) and will be 40 hours per week.
