Charity People are proud to be partnering with Bromley Mencap, an award-winning charity providing a range of services and support to disabled people of all ages, their carers and families, to help bring on board an Employment Services Manager.

Bromley Mencap is an independent, self-funded charity working with disabled people, based in the London Borough of Bromley. Established in 1951, Bromley Mencap is a growing organisation and now, each year, is providing support to over 1,400 families througha telephone helpline, over 200 adults experience better lives through adult care or leisure services, 180 families benefit from children and family services, and over 250 disabled adults receive employment support. Bromley Mencap is currently undergoing aperiod of expansion and has an annual turnover of £2 million.

The Employment Services Manager will manage and expand Bromley Mencap's range of education, training and employment programmes, leading a team to deliver high quality training, volunteering and employment services for disabled people. As part of the SeniorManagement Team, the Employment Services Manager will be responsible for achieving quality, person centred outcomes, establishing partnerships and ensuring the service is financially sustainable.

The award-winning Employment Department works in partnership with a wide range of organisations including Bromley Third Sector Enterprise, London Borough of Bromley, London and South East Colleges, DWP, schools, colleges and employers.

**Key responsibilities**:

- You will manage the delivery of Bromley Mencap's education, volunteering, training and employment activities for disabled people ensuring they operate within budget and are financially sustainable, including overseeing Bromley Mencap's accredited Learningand Development Centre.
- You will manage a strong operational staff team ensuring they receive guidance, support and recognition of their development needs through regular supervision.
- As part of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to the strategic development and expansion of services, identifying additional funding opportunities and contributing to tenders which will deliver additional employment services for disabled people.
- You will ensure services offer good quality, responsive and cost-effective outcomes, enabling the maximum number of people to progress into appropriate, sustainable employment, contributing to the effective monitoring and evaluation of the service.

You will be based at Bromley Mencap's offices in Bromley and at the Learning and Development Centre (BR1 1LP) which are well connected by public transport. The office is next to Bromley North train station and a 10 minute walk from Bromley South train station.Access to a car for the role would be preferable but is not essential.
