West Yorkshire Police are seeking to appoint a Compliance Support Officer to work within Protective Services Crime in Wakefield.

The Compliance and Planning team seek to support the Protective Services Department across a wide range of information management, training and performance aspects. Ensuring that operational teams have the right tools and knowledge to deliver the best possible service to the public of West Yorkshire.

As a Compliance Support Officer your role involves providing administrative support to the Strategy and Compliance Manager and the wider Senior Leader Team. You will have responsibility for accurately recording, disseminating, and collating information from a wide range of sources. You will also be involved in projects, working for the Senior Leadership Team to drive change and innovation across the department. This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain a broad understanding of our varied department and provides an excellent gateway to future careers within specialist crime.

To be a Compliance Support Officer, it is essential that you have a basic working knowledge of, and ability to use computer packages including Microsoft Office, and that you have experience of interpreting data. You must be willing and able to deal with sensitive and confidential material relating to major and serious crime, and successfully undergo management level vetting.

This is a varied, busy and demanding role which also requires good communication, organisational and administration skills.
