Do you have what it takes? **THE GIG** The UK/EU Payroll Manager will be responsible for leading the UK/EU Payroll teams across our key markets (and growing), providing a professional Payroll service, coordinating information between our internal HR teams and our payrolland benefits providers globally. As our UK/EU Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Accountable for the global payroll team leads and global payroll specialists, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of Dr. Martens payroll.
- Providing leadership, guidance, support and development to a large, busy payroll team processing global payrolls.
- Developing and retaining talent on the global payroll team, offering support and motivation with an emphasis on employee engagement and retention.
- Leading on global payroll projects and drive on delivery and timelines.
- Maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders; ensuring that service delivery is focussed.
- Working with the payroll team leads to ensure reporting and data is accurately met
- Responsible for stakeholder management, working closely with the company finance team; ensuring they have the correct tools and data required for reconciliations each month, ensuring compliance is met.
- Accountable for the company’s obligation of paying payroll related liabilities
- Lead company and external payroll audits, ensuring compliance.
- Accountability for process management and improvement, continuous evaluation of systems.

- CIPP or equivalent if highly desirable
- You are happy working at pace and balancing multiple priorities, with a proactive mindset, you’re able to think big picture, piece together information from multiple sources and to plan strategically.
- You are professional and lead the way in your field with extensive experience of operating payroll in-house. You can bring people on the journey with you.
- You have extensive experience leading a team, running payroll across key markets (UK, Italy, Germany and France). Other key markets and operating on a global scale are highly desirable too (such as USA, China and Japan).
- You have a strong understanding of Payroll, PAYE, and Pension legislation globally.
- You have experience of supporting global payroll centrally, and a strong understanding of local processing requirements across our countries.
- You are a great coach and a leader, with a passion for driving high performing global teams, consistently looking at coaching and development requirements to enable successful and happy teams. Sharing information and supporting the growth and developmentof others in your team.
- You can build relationships quickly and have a high degree of empathy and curiosity
- You are a team player. Using your expertise and knowledge collaborate and influence other leaders across region, country or function whilst playing to everyone’s strengths.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy changeable environments and able to identify continuous improvement and streamline processes.
- Strong stakeholder and third-party management experience, with the ability to lead and advise. Exposure with SD Worx would be desirable.
- You are a confident communicator, resilient, adaptable, and have the confidence and credibility to challenge or influence when necessary.
