**Position**: Support Operative

**Department**: Operations

**Term of Employment**: Permanent - Full Time.

**Hours**:42.5 hrs. per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.00am-5.00pm

**Salary**: £11.24 rising to £12.24 upon successful completion of 6 month probation period.

**Reporting to**: Fill Plant Manager

We would like to add to our team 2 well organized and motivated individual who will work as Full Time Support Operatives at the Westerhope branch of Gas Direct Ltd. The role centers heavily upon the manual handling of cylinders in order to correctly allocate serial numbers to existing stock. The serializing of cylinders will be to aid the system move to SAP and will need to be continually monitored and maintained to ensure accurate stock levels. Your skills will also be utilized to provide support to the Yard, Driver and Fill plant teams as an when needed.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Manual handling and organizing cylinders
- Serializing cylinders
- Data entry of serial numbers on SAP

**Yard Support, including**:

- Manual handling in order to loading and unload company vehicles
- Support in picking, organizing, and loading customer orders
- General housekeeping duties, to help maintain an organized and safe workspace for all
- Use of Forklift
- Previous warehouse experience
- COSH knowledge (preferred)
- FLT License (preferred)
- Ability to work unsupervised and follow instructions
- Ability to offer positive feedback
- Able to implement all line managers reasonable requests and adhere to all safety standards and comply with PPE requirements.

**Self Development Opportunities**:
As the role will initially focus upon the serialization of Cylinders and clearing a backlog, there may be the opportunity to progress to the Fill Plant where you would be responsible for the Cylinder Filling of gasses in accordance with all legal, quality control and Health and Safety regulations. Full Training will be provided

**Experience**:

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (required)
- SAP: 1 year (preferred)
- Fork Lift: 1 year (required)

- Fork Lift Licence (preferred)
