**About the role**:
We are seeking a compassionate and committed individual to join our **Resettlement Welfare Support Team** within the Homes and Communities Directorate, on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.
As a Resettlement Welfare Support Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering wraparound support to vulnerable adults and children participating in a range of Government resettlement schemes, as well as other clients navigating the resettlement process.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support clients in temporary accommodation, ensuring access to education, benefits, and welfare services.
- Assist with education integration, including registration for ESOL classes.
- Ensure families have access to medical and dental care.
- Help clients transition into settled accommodation (within and outside London), ensuring continued access to essential services.
- Collaborate with Housing colleagues to prepare clients before leaving Home Office accommodation, including undertaking hotel visits where required.
- Provide guidance and support across multiple services, including Education, Health, Social Care, Voluntary Sector organisations, and ESOL provision.
**About You**
- Experience supporting vulnerable individuals and families.
- Strong understanding of housing, education, and welfare services.
- Ability to liaise effectively with multiple agencies to ensure a smooth resettlement process.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ideally, the ability to communicate with a wide range of non-English speaking clients.
