**About the role**:
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of displaced individuals and families. While previous experience in a resettlement environment would be beneficial, it is not essential. Most important is a positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team to support vulnerable families and individuals.

As a Resettlement Support Officer, you will deliver high-quality administrative and operational support across all of our current resettlement schemes, including:

- Afghan Resettlement Programmes
- Homes for Ukraine
- Asylum Dispersal
- Newly arrived British Citizens
- Other Home Office-led humanitarian initiatives

You will work closely with the Resettlement Support Team Leader and the wider team to ensure individuals and families are supported to settle successfully in Hillingdon.

Key Responsibilities
- Support a varied caseload of resettlement cases, ensuring arrivals into Hillingdon have a smooth and positive experience.
- Act as the first point of contact for residents, partner agencies, and internal departments, providing empathetic and culturally sensitive support.
- Enable new arrivals to access housing, benefits, education, healthcare, and community integration opportunities.
- Maintain accurate case records, reports, and data returns to meet Government and council requirements.
- Assist colleagues at Welcome Centres and other off-site locations during new arrivals.
- Escalate safeguarding concerns or complex issues to the Team Leader.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and adapt to changes in Home Office guidance or council policy.

About You
- Highly motivated and team-oriented.
- Passionate about supporting vulnerable families and individuals.
- Organised and detail-focused, with good administrative and record-keeping skills.
- Strong communicators, with the ability to engage empathetically with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer
- A chance to directly support individuals and families to rebuild their lives.
- A supportive and collaborative team environment.
- Professional development opportunities.
- Access to a wide range of employee benefits.

If you are committed to helping others and want to be part of a team making a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.
