**Mencap are recruiting for Relief Support Workers in the Wombourne area **We are looking to recruit compassionate, outgoing and enthusiastic individuals to work in our three bedroom supported living service in Wombourne.**
**Do you want to make a positive difference to people’s lives?** For some people, Support Work is something they would love to do but life makes it difficult to commit to a full or part time position. That's where the role of a Relief Support Worker comes in It gives you the flexibility to choose the shifts you want to work, based on your availability and the needs of the service.As a Relief Support Worker flexibility is key as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts. You should have the ability to work flexibly across weekdays, weekends and bank holidays and shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleep ins and waking nights. Your flexibility is therefore essential for us to be able to meet the needs of the people we support. **_You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £60.00 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual._**
**What does a Relief Support Worker do?**
As a Relief Support Worker you will be supporting adults with a learning disability in our service with daily living tasks, including medication, personal care, finances, shopping, cooking and all everyday tasks - although they like to be as independent as possible
**About the Service**
- At this service we currently support 3 positive adults who’s ages range from 50 to late 80’s, who have a learning disability, two females and one male.The people within this Service all have busy schedules They love to be out and about and you will be there to support them when going out in the community. The adults we support enjoy a variety of hobbies which include, cinema, shopping, eating out and attending discos - who doesn’t love a boogie?
You will always have another Support Worker on site to assist you with your duties. In return for your hard work we will support you through our award winning training to help you progress in your career with us If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you
