We're looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator who's passionate about bringing communities and researchers together. Someone who sees the value in community partnerships and knows how to create spaces where collaboration can thrive.
In this role, you'll lead projects from planning to delivery, organise inclusive events and workshops, and embed equity, diversity and inclusion into everything you do. You'll work closely with researchers and community partners creating opportunities for knowledge exchange with real world impact.
You'll be confident managing multiple priorities, building relationships, and supporting research collaborations. You'll bring strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to working in new ways. Experience working with diverse communities and a good grasp of Microsoft Office tools are essential.

The Community Engagement Coordinator will work directly with the Community Engagement Manager who leads on the development and delivery of our strategic approach to Community Engagement.

Based within the Engagement Knowledge Exchange and Impact team the role works closely with colleagues to ensure that our engagement is rooted in a commitment to sharing knowledge, sparking dialogue, and building meaningful connections beyond academia.
Through collaborative projects, inclusive events, and creative partnerships, the University works with communities to explore ideas, address shared challenges, and celebrate diverse perspectives. It's about making research accessible, relevant, and responsive - ensuring that everyone has a voice in shaping the future
Working pattern: This is a part-time role offered at 60% FTE
The University has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
